Not too smart eBayers - Rear Lip

Haha....I think this is hilarious:

I found an OEM rear lip on ebay....I was willing to pay about $200 for it....but the bidding quickly went mad. Right now with 7 hours left the price is already at $285 w/ $60 for shipping. It will probably end higher that that.......

Hell, you can buy a BRAND NEW OEM rear lip from H & A for $264!!

I found a company that sold me an OEM replica rear lip for $235 shipped to my door. They also guaranteed OEM fitment - or FREE return. It should be here this week - hopefully painted and installed by Friday. If it fits well and looks good I'll post some pictures - and a link for purchase. They also offer the OEM sides...and that will be my next purchase (if all fits well).

I bought some VIS mugen rears that were terrible fitment.

Let me know how the fittment is cause I need to get a rear also. And yes I saw the bid. The guy is local to me and im still not gonna pay that much. And from H & A, that price is before shipping. It was like $350 shipped to my door

Sure will -

Dang dude, it's only $52.31 shipping if I bought the rear lip from H & A and I'm on the East Coast (South Carolina). I almost bought it until I found the other site.

I want to make sure the Rear Lip fits and looks nice before I post the website address - IF this stuff is as good as they say all you guys can get the OEM stuff CHEAP!!!!

You got it!

http://www.2loww.com/97-01PreludeKitspage.html

This is the only kit that they guarantee fitment or 100% refund. I spoke with Jamie - very nice guy and helped me out with the fixed shipping on thier website.

I'll let you guys know how mine fits - it will be here tomorrow.

EDIT: Stuff from H & A arrives tomorrow - Lip arrives FRIDAY!!!!

Hope it works ok. I know pics on the internet are free game, but I hate when companies use pictures they didn't take. And that "OEM Rear Lip" picture looks like the WWRS lip to me. Maybe not, but it flares out a little too much to be the OEM lip. Not that too many people would notice tho.

You are correct that is not the OEM rear lip in the pic. Thats the WWRS rear lip that is so funny.

someone order up the full mugen kit and tell us how it is =)

strange how they will ship the full mugen kit to me for $325
but it says it will cost me $400 something just to get the front mugen bumper and the oem sides

does anyone know of any other places that sell the full mugen replica for that cheap or cheaper?

Maybe it's bc they aren't painted, but the rears look different to me. Any more detailed pics of the rear?

no, thats all the pictures he sent me...

i guess the rears dont bother me much, since I already have the OEM rear lip... but nothing else

just putting on the front bumper and sides and having the oem rear would satisfy me i guess...

I did email him once again to ask about the JDM fog fitment, and whether or not the bumper has mounting points for the turn signals and the JDM fogs...

Anyone know average prices on how much it would cost to get JUST the parts painted VS painting the entire car?

Depends where you go, but I got my base side skirts and rear skirt painted for $100. I shopped around a whole lot though. Add another $50 or so for the front lip if you need that too. I don't know the cost to paint the whole car, but at that same place, i was quoted $200 to paint just the rear bumper. Most other places wanted $350. Painting the car is a very expensive proposition.

bleh.... the only reason why i want a new bumper is because mine is all scratched up and VERY faded...

actually, the hood is pretty faded towards the front as are my side mirrors and the top of my spoiler as well... everything else is pretty good

sucks to have a faded red car, but when its not faded... it looks sooo nice
