Noise/shock knock coming from engine bay when coming to/from stop ... what is it?

I've recently been hearing a noise that sounds like shock knock from the engine bay or somewhere up front when I come to a stop and when I go from a stop. It doesn't happen when I accelerate or stop slowly, only when I sort of come to an abrupt stop or have a jolty start in first. It's most noticeable if I'm sort of rolling back (like out of a driveway or something) and then I need to accelerate forward a bit faster.

Anyone else have this? I have 108k on the clock with about 100k on Tein HAs. Are my shock going out or is this a wheel bearing problem?

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, from what I've dealt with in my other Honda, it sounds like motor mounts... Somebody correct me though.

could be motor mounts, could be a CV joint going bad, could be a loose radius rod.

Yuck. None of those sound very fun. Any way to diagnose which one it could be? Jack up the car and ..... haha.

Yes i have the same problem and so does another member here. Im almost thinking its something in shocks because i only seem to notice it in cold weather. However my friend also thinks it may be a motor mount issue. Can you feel the "bump" sometime like in your peddle? Cause sometimes i do and then other times it sounds like its on the passenger side. Weird...

BTW- my ludes pushin 178K miles

You know ... it's when my car is cold also. I don't really notice it as much after I've been driving around for a while.

same.... only in cold weather
Most people says it's caused by the radius rod bushing hardening when it's cold out

Does any one have a pic of what the radius rod looks like?
I wanna fix it but have no clue what I'm lookin for

Aight cool. I actually think it might be a cold weather thing with mine also. It's not as prevalent nowadays.
