No Knock sensor/No spark???
I recently did a 2000 5 speed swap into my 97 auto lude, i swaped the entire motor rather than just do the tranny. I figured it would be easier, haha, man i wish I had just swaped transmissions now.
The problem that I am having now is that I am getting no spark at all. I have searched the forums and none of the solutions listed have worked for me.(distributer, cables and plugs all good, along with all ground wires.)
I didn't know that the knock sensor was broken on the back of the engine and that is the only plug not connected. Could this somehow be telling my ecu not to send signal for spark???
If someone wouldn't mind disconnecting their knock sensor and tell me if your car still starts that will tell me if I need to tow this thing to a shop on wednesday. Any help is greatly appriciated.
