Newbie here

Hello peoples,

Just wanted to say that I got my first new car last week and its a 2001 black prelude! Hehe just wanted to share. It was hard finding a new one on the island out of all the Honda dealerships there was only 1 that actually had them in stock. I guess I got lucky.

Thanks.....

As for my plans for my prelude I'm not to sure yet. I know I need to get a alarm for it since it seems that hondas seem to get stole a lot. Anyone know if the autolock actually works too? I'm know I want to put some sounds in there too. So far the alarm and sounds are the first on the list.

Although a lot of my friends are telling me that I should drop the car too. I although I do want to drop it I really dont like the rough ride the comes with lowering the car. Is there aftermarket parts that will I can use to lower my car and still give me a smooth ride?

Welcome Man, I wish I lived in Hawaii. It sucks living in California. IT's too cold. IT was like 40 degrees today

Wecome to the board. You need an alarm in Hawaii? I would think that eveyone would know everyone and would be able to find your car pretty easily...

Welcome to the board! Always good to have new people.

As for the Autolock, my dad bought one for his car so I tried to put it on mine. Do you have a 5-speed or a SS? I ask because on my car, the Autolock was very hard to put over the clutch pedal, because of the way it is designed. I didn't try the brake.

I think jmcn and a few others have used the Autolock successfully, apparently I'm just a moron I use THE CLUB brake lock, it's basically the same thing but made a little differently. Look for the CLUB logo (I sound like a commercial)...it works like a charm and goes on and off easily.
