New Suspension

Ok i have about $1000 to play around with. What combination of things should I buy to make my Base '01 competitive on the track? I was going to buy lowering springs but i heard they mess up your shocks. Sways? Shocks? Springs? Thanks.

Are those adjustable? If not, how much would they lower the car? Also will these last? (longer than 2 years)...

The Koni "yellows" are stiffness-adjustable. The GC's coilovers are height-adjustable. You can lower your car with the GCs over 3 inches...but then, you'll have to get an camber kit on top of it. As for lasting awhile, a number of people with this setup have had theirs last for 2 years or more. I've had mine for a year...no problems for me.

KulSecHskY--TEIN HAs for $900? Last I checked, they run for about $1400+...unless there's been a huge price drop.

That's a steal for $900, if they really are the TEIN HAs!

I got quoted $1,010 at Bozz in the Bay Area for Tein HAs w/out pillowball mounts. That included the tax and the install

The pillowballs will just rattle your car anyway.

Also, it's your choice on what spring rates on the coilovers you want for front/back. If you plan to autocross/track/road race, the stiffer, the better. My setup is 450lbs F/380lbs R...marginally tolerable for people that like "soft" suspension (jury is still out on that one ), but stiff enough for my purposes.
