New Rota Wheels

Just had my new Rota wheels put on today. They are the 16 x 7 45 offset slipstreams. They are the steel grey with polished lip. These are really cool looking on my red lude. So far I haven't rubbed on anything. I plan to post pics when I get a chance. I also used my stock lug nuts since they sent me the wrong size. Overall I am real happy with the new wheels.

I would keep checking you lugs to make sure they are tight because you aren't applying the same amount of area to the wheel anymore.

Yeah I am doing that already, the guy who put them on said for the first couple hundred miles to check them and make sure they are torqued between 90-100 ft/lbs. So far they haven't loosened up yet, but do you think it would be wise to get some new lug nuts? If so what kind do you suggest?

Yeah the Rota Slipstreams are very nice! I wouldn't mind having a set just soley for winter use but then again I've purchased the AEM Big Brake Upgrade kit both front and rear applications so any rim smaller than 17s would not fit. I was ready to buy a set and then realized I can't with a big brake upgrade kit soon to be installed.

BTW, nice rims tho! Post some pics as soon as possible!

Hey unloadmydodads... you need new tires for those... I have a set of Toyo Proxes T1-S that I will let go for pretty cheap. They have about 500 miles on them... Let me know...

Yes, get lung nuts. You have some choices to the kind you want. I have Gorilla lugs, but there are other brands out there. You can check www.groupuycenter.com for deals on lugs, or check our sponsers links at the bottom of the page. BTW - Lugs should be torqued to 80 lbs., but that doesn't apply to youe situation because of your lug nuts.

I would order some lugs ASAP.

nuro,

The AEM Big Brake kit has not been installed yet. Still waiting on the rear applications from AEM. I have the fronts but the backs are still on back-order so I won't be installing anything till I get the rear. I'll post results and pics as soon as possible.
