New plugs/wires

Got new NGK plugs and wires. This may be a newbie question but want to make sure I do it right. Read a number of how tos for changing plugs. Seems quite easy. Couple questions though:

Do i need to adjust the gap or can I use the plug as is?

Can i torque it snug or do i need to do it to spec?

Thanks in advance.

They should come pregapped but you can double check it if you wish. You should always torque it to spec and use anti seize.

Be extremely careful when checking the gap. You can damage the soft tip and foul the plug instantly.

Do it to spec unless you can "feel" the correct torque. They are aluminum heads, so you can damage things.

You should be fine with the plug as is. I would of course make sure the joker isn't bent or completely outta wack.

NEVER EVER EVER put anti seize on a spark plug. That is one of the most miss-interpreted idea. The threads are used as a ground for the spark plugs to the engine. By putting anti-seize on you are limiting the grounding which could cause your car to misfire. I've seen it multiple times.

The service manual has the torque specs for plugs that have anti-seize. If you get anti-seize on the electrode, then you'll get some misfiring for sure.
