hey guys just looking some advise on what to do with my situation, i bought a 1997 prelude, with Crane Hi-6 ignition and battery was moved to trunk for reasons unknown to me. Here is the problem, when i start the car sometimes it sputters and shakes and sounds awful so i shut it off quickly try again and starts right up, some other times it starts right up no problem. The previous owner said that the alarm that is no longer working was wired to the ignition and prevented it from starting at times im not sure if this is true any one have some insite? anything would be great.

If you can drive the car fine, it would be a connectivity issue - for anything starting related - since you can drive the car fine and do not have any hesitation while driving I assume.

So, check connections along that line to figure out the issue.
