Yeah, I know. Nothing crazy. Just line up at a red light maybe or just punch it on the highway. The parking lot idea is good though. Since it is private property, I dont think there would be much commotion.

Yes, I know. I haven't raced anyone since etherealude's/Eric died weeks ago. I rarely ever street race, but when I do, the conditions have to be right (no traffic, clear sightlines, good driver, etc.). A large empty parking lot (in an industrial park) is a good idea, assuming there's no security guard to call the cops or something.

The last street race I did was against Mr Ludecrs on the highway at 1:30am last September...the conditions were right at that time.

I agree. Two runs should be plenty to determine a winner. At least a winner until my next visit. The fastest I think I've ever gotten up to on the streets racing someone may have been 75. Faster than the legal limit to be sure but not like some of the idiots who refuse to shut down until there speed limiter kicks in.

True. One of the conditions is it HAS to be straight...no turns at all! A while back I did race someone on the highway and there was a turn. Even though I won that one, I'll never do that again!

I heard about a disaster recently where thre was a race between to guys on the road and the other tried to duck under a yellow/red light and didn't live to claim his victory.

He died street racing. There was a sticky thread about it for awhile. His last post, ironically, was on another member getting into an accident street racing.

People can sometimes think they are immortal in street racing and some just dont want to lose so they'll go up to insane speeds. My thought is that if you are losing by the shift into third you are not going to win so shut down and live to fight another day.
