need some HID help!( also newbie!)

Hello everyone, I am new to the import world. my name is Mo and I have A 97 prelude wich is auto and i am starting to upgrade and customize this car to make it my own.

I Bought some hids from ddm tuning for the highs and low beams. 55w 5000k. So it will be nice and bright.

HERE IS MY PROBLEM~

the hids are h1 bulbs but the stock bulbs are h1's that fit into this little plastic bowtie looking thing. then the bowtie looking thing plugs into the cars wire harness. and it is all help in by this little wire( like a bent up paper clip)

How do i get the hids bulbs to stay in the light housing? Do I have to drill out the bowtie thing, or is there some other way that I don't have to drill though the stock bowtie things. so in case one of the hid blows, I can just replace it with a new bulb .

other cars i have :
1987 iroc camaro ( modded up all the way)
2005 yamaha r6 ( slightly modded)
1997 honda prelude

hm... i recently replaced my headlight bulbs too. i didnt have to buy anything extra. not sure what that is, but... your bulb is plugged into a plug, that is held by the metal wire. that plug, is connected to the car's wire. i dont know any of the proper names for the parts, but thats all you need. nothing extra.

so, after you remove the original plug, remove the bulb off the plug. stick in your new bulb into that plug (my plug was white in color), put that plug/bulb back into the headlight, relock it with that metal wire, and put back on the rubber thing (rubber gasket?), and then replug the car wire.

you can check this step by step: WikiAnswers - How do you replace a headlight bulb in a 1999 Honda Prelude

EDIT: not sure, if because you're using HIDs, if theres a different setup. so, dont listen to me 100%, im noob too ;D

sorry this isnt very relevant, but you went from a camaro to prelude? wondering why you made that choice.

i did however, went from wanting a mustang, to buying a prelude... but its due to money issues xD
