Need help on Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

My ABS light came on many months ago. The Autozone's code reader indicated that I have issue with my VSS.

Although a few weeks ago I replaced the old VSS with the new OEM VSS, the ABS light is still there. The trouble code is still the same, assuming I read the code correctly: 5 long pauses, 1 short pause and 5 long pauses, 3 short pauses, which would be P0501 and P0503 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Range/Performance and Vehicle Speed Sensor Intermittent/Erratic/High).

I'm thinking one of that magnetic sensors is bad.

Is there a way to verify that the sensors that are mounted on the knuckle that read the pulse are working correctly?

Could possibly be a bad ABS pump, but it's not a common thing for those to go out. If you do need one, I have one sitting in my shop that I'm not using that came out of a parts car I had and it worked perfectly fine before I pulled it.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

Does anyone know how to do ohm check, continuity check, or voltage on the wheel speed sensor? (It would be very easy to do if components were on the circuit board.)

The speedometer appears to be working fine.
