Need help installing band and clip on inner tie rod boots

I'm replacing the inner tie rod boots between the power steering gearbox and tie rod ends. How do I install the new bands and clips to hold the boot in place - are there special tools for this? They are items 3 and 9 in the diagram. Thanks!

Just get hose-clamps of the correct size at an auto parts store (much easier then the OEM bandclips).

Would hose clamps work on the small end as well?

Hose clamps come in different sizes. Find one that will work.

spin_r_g, I found an old thread where you had asked about how to do the 4 indents on the lock washer with the rack still on the car. Was it hard to get all four sides? What tool did you use? Just trying to have everything planned out before I tackle this job. Thanks!
