Need Help choosing an HID kit

Im looking for the 12k(violet) HID's. Im coming acroos alot but there are diferent kit numbers and bulb sizes and im not sure what is best.

Here they have 880, 881, 9004, and 9005 kits. What is the difference? What bulb size does a 5th gen prelude use?

5th gens use H1 bulbs. probably should stick with something closer to 4000-6000K. the retrofits on here cost a lot but have excellent output

stick with 4-6k because they look better or does anything higher require retrofits?

well with hids in our normal headlights you get a lot of glare. probably will get high beamed a lot. also draws attention from police. with retrofits they look like they came from the factory. also retrofits have almost no glare. the 4k range is what most factory hids are. the 6k are a little more purplish. anything higher you have less light output and more color (which draws more attention from the police).

i'd stick with 4-5k, any hue other than white is kinda ricey IMO.

You can find HID plug-n-play kits for ~$150

EDIT:
Here's the one i'd recommend, also be sure to research this company to see if they have good feedback...

I'd stay away from HID kits.

-They are illegal
-They will get you pulled over
-They glare and blind other drivers (for them not to blind people as badly they must be pointed down, thus defeating the purpose)

If you want the "look", then just get some colored H1 bulbs from PIAA, Raybrig or just some ebay knock off.

Better yet, he could get some HID Retrofits done and not have to worry about any of the above problems.

You won't be able to see much with those, worse output than stock.

That's what I use, but they are cost prohibitive.

100% worth it though especially the bi xenons.

If you can't afford it in one shot buy the parts one by one, that's what I did.
Took me a couple months but I have them now, If I didn't do it this way I wouldn't have them.
Mercedes E55 bi xenon retrofits FTW.

Why not just buy some 6k colored h1s? Instead of some crappy looking HID kit.

You can buy replacement bulbs all over for HID kits in all sorts of colors. They even have UV blacklight ones.

purple is bad in general.

edit: 12k = purple, you know that right?

Why dont you do some research and search images and stuff and output. and see how u like that?

As far as brands, I'd go with Phillips or this other really nice expensive brand, but I forget who...
