Need help / advice about replacing the bumper on my 2001 Honda Prelude

I hit something on the road and it mirrored right through my bumper. Possibly a baby bear. Who knows. Anyways, i am new to modifications and what not, so if anyone could tell me the right way to replace this front bumper cost effectively, i would be most grateful. I love this car to death and want to learn the ins and outs of fixing it. I live in ohio so the weather is rough on my car. I do the best to take care of it.

get a new bumper cover, paint it (paintscratch.com), and bolt it on. if you have the piece that's broken off you could just epoxy it back on. did insurance pay it? personally i'd just keep the $ and leave it.

yea, that's what you need. look in the classified section. i think someone is parting out a silver one - but i can't remember if its your silver or the year before yours.

you should really look into getting a used OEM bumper cover. Those cheap aftermarket ebay covers have fitment issues, cost of painting them, and they are just very poor quality.

Like lilredlude said, look in classifieds. I just wanna add to that, also look in craigs list, ebay, junkyards, look on every Prelude forum Classifieds. Sooner or later you will find the silver bumper cover u need.

It will cost you more to buy a cheap fake ebay bumper and the cost of painting it than a used color matched OEM bumper. If you really don't wanna wait and want it done asap, then go with what you think is best.
