need advice on lude hookup........

alright this is the story.........i wanted to get cam gears and i went online and researched and asked aroung and i found out that the skunk2 are the best for our car.......i thought until today i went to this speed shop type deal and the guy there knows alot about honda and can get me anything i need at a really good price, but the thing is though when i asked preludeonline yall said skunk and he said they suck and he wouldnt even sell them to me........ yall also told me that aem sucks and thats what he reccomened, he said the new ones are real good and they've never done bad with him. so what im asking yall to help me with is should i be firm and be like give me skunk2 and all the other stuff yall say or should i go with his advice.
i trust yall and i trust his word and knowledge too

thanks for the comments, any welcomed

First off can he even get the Skunk2 products? How much if he CAN get them?

The case might be that he is a AEM dealer and his profit margin on the AEM gears might be more than his profit for the Skunk's?

But who's word would you trust more?

1.Guys who have had actual experience with our cars (Preludes) and both types of gears? (Who prefer the Skunks by the way!)

2. A dealer trying to turn a profit off of you?

No offense to the dealer but the guy is gonna recommend the products he can provide OVER the products he can't or won't get!

What was his reasoning for saying Skunk Cam Gears were no good?

I have Crower Stage1 cams with Skunk2 cam gears. The cam gear adjustment gave me increased useable horsepower over the entire rpm band. I've had no problems so far since the install. I have no experience with AEM though. I am not saying AEM is bad, just that Skunk2 gears work.

This is a dyno of before tuning with the Skunk2 gears and after tuning.

The peak power didn't change much but it did change over the entire rpm band.

most likely getting the BMW 8 series, already has 19s and then chipping it and getting shorter gears....oh yeah, and under warranty too...ETA is about 2 years though, buying it from a friend
