Need to adjust valves, cant remove cover

Ok I really need to perform a valve adjustment. However, the valve cover is not removable at the moment. I pulled all of the nuts off except for the center nut. It just spins and spins . Any suggestions on what to do? My thought was to just grind it off and die the stud. Is there a chance that the stud could be broken off, or is the nut just cross-threaded?

Yeah Im in the same boat. I have never pulled the valve cover yet. You had to replace the stud? Does that involve a teardown of the block?

no block teardown, when u pull the valve cover off the studs have threads on both sides the nut side and the side that screws into the head, you will see what i mean when you pull the cover off just make shure you get the new stud and nut before you get to hackin and end up having to call a friend to drive you to the honda dealer because you didnt think ahead ( trust me on this i know.) there is no messing with valves or cams or anything like that, cut pesky stipped nut, pull valve cover, unscrew stud and replace, it is litteraly that simple. i dont know the exact torque specs i went with hand tight with a tiny bit of pressure, put a new gasket set in and no leaks at all now.
