Alright everybody gather round, I've got a story to tell. About 6 weeks ago I got the idea that I needed to buy a new car. For those who don't know I've got a 2000 Prelude that I've put a fair amount of work into.
Anyhow, I ended up looking at Audi A4's, 99-2000's. I ended up buying a 99 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo AWD. Now, stock it was slow, but it's pretty much the Audi TT engine and with a new ECU you can get 200hp and 235lbs of torque. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Now add the usual goodies to that, those A4's can run low to mid 14's with a little work. Not bad for an AWD 4 door.
Enough about that. But, over the last two weeks I've started to miss my Prelude. I had put it in the Auto Trader, but it's winter in MN and sports cars don't sell till spring, so I hadn't had too much intrest yet.
To make a long story short I missed my car, and took it for a long drive today and fell back in love with her. It was a nice day for once and it was so much fun to get out and stretch the legs again. So, I've decided to sell my A4 and keep my Prelude.
It sucks because tax and licensing fees are a pain, and I'll end up losing over a $1000 I could have put into mods, but I know I've made the right decision.
Just thought I'd share my Prelude story with you guys.
Trevor
P.S.
This message board is so much nicer than any Audi board too. Feels good to be back.
What a great romantic horror movie! I think your beloved Prelude has put a spell in you. I myself have owned four Preludes in the past eight years including the current 5th gen.

Great story, I was thinking about trading my car for an A4 a long time ago, but I'm glad I kept it Pretty cool that it only cost you a little over a grand. Could easily have been much more.
Originally posted by nmehta211 I say keep the A4, i agree the Prelude is nice, but you shouldn't have to lose money on the car. How much did you pay on the a4?
