Holy ****... That is $$$$$!
You should try glueing it or something.
If you can't fix it you'll have to replace the entire gauge cluster.

It should be under warranty...why don't you just take it to your dealer?

What happened?

Let me get this skrate??? Your odometer isn't working therefore you are not dealing with the constant devaluing of your car ever time you drive to work and you want it fixed. Dude take your time in getting estimates is all I have to say.

heres what happen the day before. my trip was working fine. its the odometer that was stuck first. so i'm up for my 7500 mile oil change....SO i decide to fix the odometer, when i took it off the gauge assembly i notice that the number farthest on the odometer isnt turning cause the clip that holds the spindles broke.
ive been keeping track of my milage since then. so when ever i get the new one, maybe from a junkyard. i'm gonna add the other miles.

Hello Honda dealer Parts Department--I need a "Meter Assy., Speedo & Fuel Basic Part #78120-S30-A01 (97-8) or#78120-S30-A02 (99+).
The Master Parts book page 5-59 dated 10/1998 is my reference for this.
BTW: You may be required to have this repair done by a dealer as Federal Law requires that the Unit be set to the current mileage. AND YES-it only is supplied as a complete unit by Honda.
