ton_e69....you live in sac?! how long do you think it would take for you to do the climate/clock/cruise buttons? can you get it done in a few hours? less than one day? if so, could I just come down someday to get it done, that way I won't lose my AC etc...for two weeks?

It seems that you found a way to get inside the switches..How?
Well its not complete, but its a start.if you check out my photo album. i have added instructions on how to get inside and solder in the LED on the cruise control. I will be including the dimmer in the next day or two followed by the A/C. Please dont mind all the typos. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Thanks. My IcE BluE LudE photo album

Hey if any of you are trying to find a cheap place to buy white or any other color LED try this link here, BGMICRO select "online catalog, they have a good selection at a cheap price, if you dont see what your looking for contact them, they have other colors like pink, purple too. BGMICRO

Check out the album, for anyone doing this project on their own, I have pics showing how to do the dimmer and the cruise control.

Ok I know its been some time since I last updated this post, but I finally added some important photos to my album that might be of use. my photo album

This is how I did my climate controls for the LED conversion. For this LED placement, I removed the two defusers screwed on to the board, but the hyper white LED uses the defuser in the front cover that has all the control for the A/C. With the LEDs placed this way (see album), they do not dim with the dimmer. I found it easier to mount the LEDs using the grounded switch housing. If you find another way to mount them in place you can use the ground from the light sockets and then the LEDs will dim.

I hope these pictures will be of use, if you have any questions please e-mail me at ton_e69@hotmail.com .
