What LED's did you use? Where did you get them? What mcd are they? The best I have found are from hosfelt.com 6000mcd 4.99 each.
I also have found 5600mcd for 2.99 each.
My mod didnt turn out as intense as yours did. But my LED's are only 3200mcd right now. I plan to put brighter ones in.
Let me know THanks

It is a place here locally. A distributor that I use. Do you need any?
The ones in my pics above are still the Radio Shack pieces of F LED's only 3200mcd.
I am planning on getting the 5600mcd ones and redoing it. I dont think it is worth 4.99 for the 6000mcd ones when I can get the 5600 for 2.99 each

It doesnt have LED's Stock It used a regular very small light bulb run through a diffuser.
There is a write up on po.com just do a search for LED climate you will find it.

How many pieces do you usually need to have the whole climate control, clock, and some of the lights on the gauge??

you dont change any lights in the clock only the filter. For the AC unit you will need at least 9 blue ones. You can get by with only 5 but I like to have one behind each button. 7 for the individual buttons on the top and 2 1 for the temp slide and 1 for the fan speed.
Then if you want the dimmer and cruise thats another 3.
If you are on AIM you can chat with me bdyer992002

I do offer this mod but you have to send me your AC unit and during summer probably isnt a good time to be without AC for about 2 weeks.
If you dont mind being without AC let me know and Ill post the info.
Or anyone else interested let me know and Ill post info on what to do to get it to me.
We charge $150.00 plus the cost of shipping to get it back to you which would be about $10.00 I would think. So $160.00 fully done and shipped back. That includes all parts and labor.

Hey guys, thanks for all the good feedback! When it comes to the actual LED's, their light output really isnt all that high, but w/ their placement it shines through great. I paid about $2.00 ea for them. The climate control its self, used 1 blue led directly behind each button( I removed the two defuser's), except for the defrost, there I used a red because the blue didn't shine throught correctly. As for the temp controls, only one hyper white LED was used replacing the original bulb and utillizing the existing defuser.

The other controls such as lights and cruise were a little tricky. The bulbs originally dont face towards the face of the buttons and as you probly already know,LED's are directional so placement took alittle thaught.I basically had to fully dis-assemble the swithes so I could build the LED's "in it" that way they would point at the front. It was worth the extra effort in the end though. I'll do a follow up with pic's showing the placement of all the LED's.Thanks again!

O-ya, forgot to mention the clock itself. Some one mentioned "00prelude_tx " using flood light diffusers on the clock, good idea ( I used stain glass spray cause I couldnt find the diffusers I was looking for), but I also used a thicker clear piece of plastic infront of that so as when I'm cleaning I dont rinkle or mess up the face of the clock.I used a hair gel container because it could be formed to the shape of the original amber plastic. With some cutting and fitting ,it fit perfect and provides some durability.
