My lude having a little trouble starting..plz hlp

So its starting to get a little colder around 50-60 degrees now and it takes a couple of cranks to start. im new to preludes so im not sure if its normal under cold conditions. im not sure what dash lights are normal after opening the switch (II) right before i crank the car on. Previous owner said the alarm was dead and it sometimes prevented the car from starting, taking key out and then back in usually would take car of that but now its not doing anything. i know there is a ignition recall but im not sure if its been replaced. battery is in the trunk, not sure why but battery is good. I have searched much and have not came across a situation like mine any help would be highly appriciated.

mine does that too, it just won't do anything sometimes it's almost like it can't read the chip in the key right?I took it to Honda they said it was the immobilization unit, but they wanted $120 an hour for labor so i told them to piss off. I would try getting a new key cut and tell them to cut it by what the car is like programmed to not by your other key just in case it's the chip in that key malfunctioning, but the ignition recall isn't for that i thought it was too but all they do for the recall is replace like one wire to your ignition switch, they apparently sometimes stall while driving. good luck with that, and keep me informed if you figure it out plz.

like the previous owner said, alarms that tie into the ignition can cause some **** when they stop working. Happened on my older accord first years in undergrad: had driven 2 years by then with a remote that had start feature on it, gave to my sister then mid years when I bought the prelude. Next thanksgiving she wasn't able to start the car. Looked like she was kicking in the kill switch on the alarm and had broken it and the wires in the engine bay had lost their insulation wrap...somehow. Disconnected the alarm got her a cheap release lock one and no other problems that I have heard of but haven't seen them much since 06 either.
