My engine job...

Due to broken valve, and since my engine is half opened up, I just ordered following stuffs. Let me know what you guys think, and what gains I should expect.

-Type-S pistons w/ stock rings (standard size)
-Crower stage 2 cams
-Crower Ti-retainers
-Crower Dual springs
-Crower Valves (both intakes and exhausts)

I currently have following...
-AEM CAI
-AEM Pulleys
-AEM Cam gears (not tuned, but will set it to -2 exhaust +1 intake)
-DC sports 4-2-1 header
-Greddy EVO cat-back
-MSD SCI <--- (What the hell does this thing supposed to do anyway?)
-NOS (not working properly, need to tighned all the hoses)

So, give me some feed backs. And also, is there a dyno shop in near northern VA area? If so how much?

I should have my car back this saturday or early next week. People here on PO.com said crower should be broken for about 100 miles, so I'll just do 300 miles.

Should I bother getting rods? I heard stock rods can hold up to 400HP... and I don't think i'll be going anywhere near 400 anytime soon...

spoon makes a gasket that increases compression like 0.2.. it goes well with the typeS pistons

Well if you are running NOS then it would be a good idea to get pistions that are forged ie made for forced induction and NOS. Then you can run a larger shot more safely. And if you ever down the road decide to turbocharge then you don't have to worry about blowing the pistion rings.

I thought about port polishing, but it will take too long. My car has been in shop for a week already. I don't want to hold up a bay in my mechanic's shop for too long. Plus, it would cost more.

And for getting forged pistons, I thought about this too. But people I have talked to, here on PO.com, said I need get resleeved too. Again, $$$$$. I'm out of money. Also, I heard type-s pistons should work great with NOS.

And, where can I get this metal head gasket? How much is it? I got the whole gasket kit for $140 from local dealer. If metal gasket is that much safer with NOS, I'll consider getting one. I wanted to get the Mr.gasket's gasket, but they don't make one for H22A engine.

I would guess that setup should be good for at least 190hp or so. Maybe even closer to 200whp+ with a V-AFC and lots of dyno tuning. I think the higher compression due to the pistons should really complement the Crower cams.

I'm no expert on NOS, but NOS is probably not a good idea with the 11:1 or higher compression you will have.... If you intend on continuing to use it, the upgraded rods might be a good idea...
