my 99 prelude base wont start! help!

i checked all the fuses, reset the ecu, let it sit for a while, checked my spark plugs wires there all connected it will crank until i stop turning it but it wont start. i did the crank it then pull a spark plug wire to smell for fuel and i didnt smell anything so does this mean its the fuel pump or something? i drove it at 4:00 this morning less than a mile parked it went to sleep and at about 12:00 pm today it wont start helpp!

Since it's a car equipped with an immobilizer why not try this since it seems intermittent, when inserting and turning the key make sure that no metal rings, key fobs or other keys are against the key as you insert and turn it. They can interfere with the immobilizer signal.

If not, a engine needs 3 main things to run, spark, fuel and compression, try to rule one out and going from there should be simple. Just be smart and don't start buying parts until you can properly find out what is wrong.

Yes exactly what he said. I put almost 3 grand into my lude before realizing someone had rigged my car to run without an immobilizer (wich obviously didnt work too well).
