multi-plex unit??

on my 99' base lude i have been experiencing the door lock on the driver's side not working at times. the remote may or may not unlock the driver's side. always works fine for passenger door. when you flip the silver lock/unlock sometimes it unlocks the driver's door sometimes not. maually flipping the black switch or using a key always works. also, driver's window is very slow at times. i also have flickering of the gauge needles (speedo and tach) and same with climate control and cruise/moonroof/dimmer switches. these have been converted to leds (by ludatic) but it seems that everything started acting weird about the same time (which was several years after the leds were done).

do you think it may be a bad driver's side multi-plex unit? i see that they are around $130 something from majestic honda online.

what all does the multi-plex unit do?

thanks.

The multi-plex unit is the "hub" for most (if not all) wiring traffic. I think there are both a driver side and passenger side unit. And as stated as such, each will handle whatever electrioncs (and maybe others) are on each side of the vehicle.

So yes, it does make sense that if you are experiencing problems on the driver side, it could be the driver side multi-plex unit. But I will let the other gurus handle you Roger. Cuz I'm not entirely sure.
