mugen sideskirts fitment

I bought some Mugen replica sideskirts from our sponsor, poleposition.

went to test fit them today and had to dremel out some parts to get it on. But it still looks like it sticks out too much from the side of the car.

In the pics I've seen it's nearly flush. Does this look wrong to anyone? Click on pics for 1600x1200 versions.

and here's a pic for comparison:

From the sides I have seen in person, the Mugen ones always stick out just a bit.

Mugen Sides

If only they matched OEM lip perfectly height wise and sat flush with the body.

Those stick out way too much. A bit of leeway is natural, but you're not supposed to have a step-ladder.

I love the mugen sides, but I wish they didn't stick out that much. If only they sat more flush with the side of the door. looks good though

Mine look more or less like that.

Yours *MIGHT* extend out a few fractions of an inch more. I'll have to see when I go out to the car later. I can post a pic tonight for reference.

Obrigado: The Mugen sides do match up perfectly with the OEM front lip

Very nice combo. I have that exact setup. But the Mugen sides might not be aggressive enough for some - I like the OEM sides a bit more because they flare out whereas the Mugens go almost straight down.

But yeah, everything lines up perfectly (with good replicas of course) and it looks extremely clean.

That pic you posted is H22atypeS car. He has the authentic mugen kit. It fits perfect. You probably got a replica and mugen sides are suppose to be like that. I think it actually looks better that way. Normal. Go paint it and install it
