being way overpriced.......i was wondering how is the quality of the replica mugen kits that i always see?
how many companies make replica mugen kits? i only know of visracing.com
also, what is the material of replicas vs the real thing? im thinking of going wwrs.....but way too many ppl have it nd i'm tired of seeing it, so i might go replica mugen but im wondering how solid and well built it is and if its worth it or not? or should i save nd get real mugen kit?
from what ive heard, the ViS copy of the mugen front end is pretty much just pure luck as far as fiitment. Some get lucky and get pretty good fits while others get terrible ones. I believe there is a HK version of the kit that supposedly has much better fitment, but im not exactly sure where you can get these from since most people seem to ahve the ViS one.
Both kits are made from fiberglass, but the real mugen one is MUCH MUCH thicker and just overall better quality. Ive heard of some of the replicas chipping/cracking with small fender benders. I dont know if i wuold ever pay $1500 (or whatever the cost is now) for a real one... that money could be going to alot of other things, like i/h/e and then some.
i dont think he meant just the front end... cuz there are some people that got crappy rears, and crappy front ends... im not sure about the sides tho... all the sides seem to be fine.
and i think you can return it... within a certain amount of days..

oo btw..sagaprelude...........he has a perfect fit one too i think it was the picture of his viper gts blue lude w/ ViS mugen replica that convinced me the replica is alright, even though its not real mugen =D
What do you have 2 agree 2 when you ENTER the site? They tell you right there!
SOme people VIS=OK some people VIS=BUNK
Regardless with a fiberglass kit I would have a good body shop install it and be expecting NOT the best fitment. If you get perfect fitment consider yourself lucky.
my kit WAS perfect fit... but not anymore since i got into an accident.. and the body shop who repaireed it did not give me a perfect fit..... but ohh well... going to take my car to 20/20 best in the Industry (City of)... woo hoo! if you guys want mugen bumpers i can hook it up for 180 each if you guys get 3 orders.
