i just thinks it is funny that you wnat to put a motegi badge on a non motegi edition car, kind poserish.....just a thought.
.....once i seen a white "type r" badged prelude so i pulle dup and aske dhim wha the type r meant and he said " special edition prelude with 250 hp".....i laughedso hard at him.....just like im laughin at you.
....but you cant hear me cuz the internet.....bahahahahaha
bouckarooo - The Motegi version of the VTi is just the addidtion of a lip kit, that is all. Many UK Ludes came from the factory with the lip kit but without the badge as the badge was another optional extra. Thats the reason why they are so rare, even "Motegi" ludes didnt necessarily come with the badge.
So doc-vtec may well have a factory Motegi but is lacking the badge because the original owner didnt pay for the extra.
hay ****arooo i suggest u know wat ur talken about b4 u comment, lucky this is the internet cos id punch u in the face about now and merlinbad man thanx because this is exactly my problem,it is a motegi wit no badge,i missed that 1 on ebay by a day, head recked man i dont wana get a sticker made up its just not the same
motegi preludes came with oem body kit (full kit), as well as lowered sport suspension(the main feature of the motegi ludes) as well as special motegi edition 17" rims (which are inch bigger than oem stock) and OPTIONAL badge.
So i say you to you both (especially the ginger ***got leprachaun), i know what i am talking about, and i suggest that you as well should before you try criticize me.
As for the irish drunken laddy here, buddy if you can leave you ****hole of a rainbow and the broke a$$ pot of gold you dont have to come to alberta and attempt to slap me out, i will glady meet you and give the oppurtunity. With that said, if you are not going to do so then shut the fack up and stop being a telephone toughguy/ intranet wanksta, it makes you look absolutly pathetic.
And further more, i call bullsh!t on your "MOTEGI" lude, post up the vin and some pics of all the things that make the motegi version unique , (like say for instance the suspension, of the body kit, or hell since you say you bought it lets see the f@cking reciept from honda saying you have motegi upgrade. Now until you post that you are just some redhead frecklefaced pimpleassed twerp poser......
^ calm the **** down!!! The OP is from Ireland, there are many Motegi edition Ludes in Europe. Whats so hard to believe he has one? This is making you look like a lost little puppy in North America deprived of all the cool things Prelude had in Europe and Japan.
Second of all, Motegi also came in their own colors. Unique only to that edition.
motegi preludes came with oem body kit (full kit) This was the main feature of the, as well as lowered sport suspension(the main feature of the motegi ludes) as well as special motegi edition 17" rims (which are inch bigger than oem stock) and OPTIONAL badge.
All the things you listed there are all options and could be purchased separately. As for the suspension so few Preludes (even the "Motegi" Preludes) came with this that it is rare to see a set, anywhere. Also there is no such thing as Motegi rims, all 99+ UKDM manual Preludes came with these wheels as this is when the lude moved from the M2V5 transmission to the short ratio M2P4 transmission. And the badge like everything else in the Motegi list is just that, a list of options you could choose from, not a set pack of upgrades that you bought.
For example:
Post 99 factory motegi without optional suspsnsion:
My car, a post 99 non-Motegi with standard suspension (ie. same as above):
bouckarooo you should get your facts straight before shouting your loose understandings at others (you shouldnt shout or ridicule at all), its like me telling you lot the differences between an SH & Base (and getting it wrong).
obviously u just google ur facts and wikiapeadia isent always right so go **** urself,as for having a go at where im from thats just childish,u have issues go talk to dr.phil or some ****,dont wb to this cos ur ****en annoying me,i dident put this tread up for smart answers.........
slude dan ur lude is off the hook,im jelous here, the colour is amazing,my car has the dipped suspension, but no badge,ANY 1 GOT A PART NUMBER FOR THE BADGE WOULD B GREAT and yes i am irish and yes i do get drunk till i cant stand most weekends an i love it
Wow. It's scary to see some people type. DOC, is English your second language?

i know what comes on motegi editions; hence why i said to go buy the whole thing originally. Now, as for my comment, i still think it is quite poserish to go buy badge and put it on car when the rest of the edition parts are not on it. Just becuase you have a badge means you have motegi edition? that is silly way to think, if you think about it , to say you own motegi car when really it only has one or two of the multiple options that are suppose to be there isnt really owning a motgei edition car. It is owning stock VTI with a motegi mod or two from factory. A "true" motegi edition would have all the components on it, hence why they are all made. To get just the body kit and say you have motegi edition is false, as you only have the Motegi Edition body kit. It takes more than one peice to make it Motgei Edition, it is a combination of the peices that make that car special.
Also you say that all ukdm preludes come with those wheels after 1999, this is not true as there are the same rims that come on the sh here, over there as well.
By your rule of thumb, because i have type s door panels and valve cover, it would mean i have type s prelude, but i do not make that claim. Nor would i go and buy a type s badge and put it on my car. Same thing goes with "type r" badge(the only type r in the h22 family is the accord).
Now, the OP, came back at me threating and being quite petty and childish when in truth my answer was the most accurate one, go and buy VTI MOTEGI edition. So in return he gets his whole frecklefaced drunk bankrupt coutry made fun off, tough breaks kid; just go drink some more to forget about it
....lets see some pics of you "motegi" edition, maybe of the lip kit, or suspension or the rims, hell lets see any of pics of your car just to see it...
The Type-SH has the same wheels as the wheels the Type-S, not the "Motegi" rims.

No you wouldnt have a Type-S because you need ATTS and a 217bhp engine, then it would be equivalent. That aside, the "Motegi" and "regular" VTi are completely identical, as I have said the only difference is a few items off an options list.

How do you know this? Do you own one? Have you seen one/been in one? Even live in a country where they were sold? OR are you relying on the miss-information flaoting around the web? Just because something was once written on HondaTech doesnt make it true.
