Molding WW RS kit

What do you guys and gals think of molding the rear bumper with the RS rear lip together? The reason i'm asking is about a month ago some one hit me in the parking lot with me being in the car and they didn't leave a note or anything, so i have to put out my own money to repaint it. The idea came up with my friend to mold the rear lip with the rear bumper. What does everyone think about this idea?. I have this whole weekend to think about it. Thanks for everyone that responds

Just some ideas to think about before i go repaint my bumper and the WW Rs rear lip. The reason it got brought up is that my friend and I was thinking that it will get rid of the small gap that was connecting the lip and the bumper together. When we put it on the bumper for the first time and since then there has been a sag, so he thought I should take it in consideration in molding the lip with the bumper, so you won't see that gap and the sag.

I haven't asked the guy yet, the idea was bought up today, because we took off the bumper and the bumper is going in to the shop on monday. So if it's the right price I might do it.

what are u planning molding them with, just go get u some seam sealer, its like molding it, but u dont ever have to worry about it cracking, its very flexible , just like caulk.. I did my front lip , I got the rs kit also, and it came out great.. it comes in a small caulk tube and u just use a caulk gun, and squeeze it in there..

Molding the body kit was just an idea. I haven't talked the my body man and ask him about it molding the back bumper with the rear WW RS lip yet. They don't open on weekends, so I didn't ask him yet. But for the Seam Sealer that sounds like a good idea. Where do you buy this seam sealer, I guess you can pick it up at Home Depot or Autozone. Thanks for your great advise

Good luck. Good bodyshops charge an arm and a leg for molding. I got quoted around 700 for molding just my sideskirts. I wanted to mold my back bumper, but the guy advised me not to, because he said air can get trapped behind the bumper, causing it to possibly crack, and ruining your entire mold job. Also, if you ever decided to get another rear, you'd have a mess on your hands.

I like the way the molding looks. Ive never seen an RS kit molded, but Dragazn had his mugen replica rear molded and it looks amazing. Its up to you if you wanna spend the cash. I think it looks great.

can you post the pics again? I'd like to see that...when it's completely flush then it looks sick...if it's not too flush then it ain't really worth moldin it.
