mod that everyone should do that they don't

Even though some of us (like me) are new to modding and some of us are seasoned veterans, I think this question works for everyone. What do people think is a mod that everyone should do to our 5gs(performance/visual/preventative/etc) but not everyone might do or know about?

To kick it off my totally known mod that I think everyone should do is the JDM foglights. I mean, those loose plastic pieces bring down the whole solid look of the car, and plastic should only be on toy cars.

There's no mod that everyone should do.

I say PSPEC short shifter for all 5th gens. Easy to install, great quality, and it's adjustable so you can put it at whatever you want.

No amount of security is going to keep your car from getting stolen if somebody really wants it. If they want it bad enough, they will take it on a flatbed.

If it were my car, the cabin of that flatbed would have 30+ holes in it.

A little extreme, don't you think Kronn? Life imprisonment for a car? I agree thieves are worthless trash that do nothing but waste the time and money of honest people, but it's still not worth it.

Also, that is assuming you actually get to see your car ride off into the sunset on the back of a flatbed and have the power to do anything at all about it. Odds are, it will be long gone before you ever notice.

5th gen's already have an immobilizer which will deter opportunistic thieves, but if the thief is already savy enough to get around the immobilizer, I don't care how much more you invest in alarms or security crap, he's probably going to be smart enough to get around those things to. They may slow him down, but they probably won't stop him. Then you are out the cost of the car + the cost of all the worthless security crap.

What?!?! I was talking about blowdarts. :-)

"I tried to stop them, Officer. But then they pulled out a weapon and I feared for my life. So I ended them."

Oh, and more on the topic of this thread:

The mod that everyone should have but most don't are good performance tires. Switching between the cheap all seasons on my winter wheels and the z rated performance tires on my other wheels is a night and day difference. Every aspect of performance improves with better tires.

+1. I got Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs, and love them so far. Also, one of my favorite mods that made a pretty noticeable difference for minimal money was my rear sway bar. Mine is a Suspension Techniques.

I've heard that a bunch of stickers are good to do as mods. Turbos are usually good for the everyday driver as well.

i like the drivering lessons and tires suggestion.

the good thing about driving lessons is it works on other cars as well. how many intakes/exhaust do that?
