mishimoto radiator question

hello PO community,

I have a cracked stock radiator leaking on the top and need a new one. Seeing that as an oem rad goes for about $290-300, i might as well go with something that would provide better efficiency. I do plan to go JRSC route next year so I can see an upgrade rad would make sense later.
Anywho, I looked up mishimoto rads on their website and notice they had a "note" to buy their optional transmission cooler for ATTS owners (i own a 98 SH). My question is, am I required to buy a tranny cooler along with their rad? If so, does anyone have pics of how its suppose to mount?

They're local to me.... actually a sponsor on our local forum too. You can ask them yourselves via phone / email or i can get a link....

I suggest just saving time and calling them. They're on the east coast so go by that timezone.

Short answer is yes, you need a tranny cooler. The OEM radiator has one built in. If you look you'll see lines running from your ATTS to the radiator. The Mishimoto does not have one built in, so if you have an SH or an automatic you have to buy a tranny cooler.

There are write-ups on how to install one. Search and you will find....
