middle vents won't open :(

I searched real quick, but didn't turn up anything

My middle vents (for a/c and heat beside the clock) are closed, and I can't get them to open. It worked fine until I switched it to defrost (windshield) one day, now I have it back on the 2nd button from the left (upper and lower) and they wont open. I have tried every setting hoping one would pop them open.

Any suggestions? Would this require a resolder of the circuit board?

Yes sounds like the common broken solder joint problem. There's a write up somewhere in the 4th gen section.

Thanks. I was afraid of that....oh well. I've done it once for the 4th gen, another won't hurt - at least this one looks easier to remove.

Thanks!
