Manual Transmission Problem PLZ HELP!!

Hello I have recently purchased a 2001 Prelude SE car is a blast to drive i absolutly love it, 1 small problem tho, the other day i noticed shifting into all gears 2,3,4,5 it doesnt want to go into gear, when u go to shift its like it pauses before it goes in not smooth like butter like when i first got it, i havent driven the car hard at all cuz im not like that used vetec maybe 2 times since owned and used it in 3 gear just to put a smile on my face, Has this happend to anyone else? all help is welcome,

kinda got the same thing going on with my lude im thinking my pressure plate is on the way out

yeah its deffently feels like that but my clutch is grabbing like with the pedal like inch and half ish off the floor so thats usually the rule for a clutch, im starting to think its shift forks or syncros

^A mis-aligned shift fork or bad synchros would cause a grind...

More than likely the clutch needs to be replaced.

I hope its just the clutch man, im getting it checked out at a Tranny shop monday so hopefully its just that

Checked your clutch fluid? Hard for your trans to change gears normally if your clutch is not disengaging properly.

figured out what the problem was, it was a leaking master clutch cylinder

How does the repair cost? I sometime have trobel shifting to first but its rare hope its not a big problem

^Check your clutch fluid. If it's low you know you have a problem. But that isn't absolute either.

well the only time u should be shifting to 1 is when u are stopped, and it is normal for all standard transmissions that you may have to just rev the engine up a tad for it to slide in to match engine/tranny speed, cost to get it fixed from a shop is 150 part cost 50 and labour for about 2 hours
