How many miles does your motor have on it? If I were you I would change it asap. I have never heard of a tranny leaking more when you get the fluid changed. The only way it would leak is if you already had bad seals. Its just like the bull **** you hear when people use conv. oil in their motor then switch to full syn. and they say its the oil that caused the leak. No its due to a bad valecover gasket, head gasket etc.

I'm not sure if you're asking lilbill or me, but I have 183K, and bought it with 163k in aug. of 07'. Let's say the last time it was changed was when the 90k was supposed to be done(at 90k!), because he said that when he had the major tune-up done, he also had the clutch changed for an unkown reason, but he DIDN'T tell me what milage he actually did all this, so that's why I am assuming that is was at/around 90k. That would meant it may have been as much as 90k+ miles, but ....WHO KNOWS!?! Thats why I'm panicking, however, I know I need to do it anyways, so i'll probably get it done in the next couple of weeks just to get it out of the way.

By the way, how do you actually get the fluid into the tranny? Is there a special funnel?

You can use a funnel with a flexible neck or you can use a bottle pump.

Good question, I use a syringe type thing lol. You just stick in the can and suck the MTF out then stick it in the fill hole and squirt it ha. Sounds dumb but its what we used at Valveoline.

I'm gonna try to buy some today before the dealership closes, Nut I'd like to know how much I need, just for one single change. From those of you who have done this properly before, I can use the advice.

I can't seem to find the MTF capacity either, would anybody be able to tell me that?
