Lower Tie Bars

Anyone know any other companies that make lower tie bars for 5th gen ludes besides DC sports and the generic fake stuff.

we know that DC don't do anything except shine in your headlights, but what about the tanabe and skunk2? are they worth the money or are they only for show as well?

If you did a search you would of already found the information on this... No one to our knowledge has the Tanabe bar installed so no reviews can be had upon that one. Skunk2's bar is TBA, ETA of about 2-3 weeks right now. If you want one now, get the Tanabe or DC. Tanabe will be the cheapest of the bunch. I think it's around $89 if you look around.

Fifth generation Preludes don't need rear lower tie bars. People who get them usually get them more as an aesthetic compliment rather than a performance upgrade.

Just curious, you keep posting this... What proof do you have that we don't need a lower tie bar? Are you saying that the underbody chassis is so stiff it doesn't flex at all at the LCA?

Fifth generations already have a tight chassis and in between the rear lower towers the flex is already minimal. Fifth generations were designed with handling in mind so the rear lower tie bar is not really necessary.

What about during extreme conditions, like hard cornering, hard sharp handling, twisties.... autox....etc??

The dc tie bar, let alone any tie bar won't make any sort of improvement?

Granted that stock lude's handling is nice and body roll is minimal, but to some peeps, they want damn good handling abilities........

Every little bit helps! and it definitely can't hurt... I'd wait and see how the Skunk2's are before I opt for a DC or Tanabe

Maybe under extremely harsh conditions, ie extremely hard cornering...but I doubt that the bar would do very much under those conditions...if you are going to take turns like that, I recommend that you upgrade other things first such as wheels and suspension set up before thinking about chassis strength. I doubt that many people will be taking such hard corners however.

What else do I got left?

Tien HA
Spoon F/R upper ties
ST F/R sways

I would switch out the bushings, but I still want a decent ride. I can't see how that part is immoveable, and I'm an autoxer so... Skunk2 it is when it comes out.
