At a full stop, especially when cold out I have play in my 98's steering wheel and can hear a ticking noise from below the column. Any ideas on what this may be and whether or not it can be tightened up?
it COULD be your steering wheel...but before you go and tear the column up and gut it...get your car up in the air and check out your inner and outer tie rods...i have the same problem with mine and i hear popping when i accelerate and turn, ive got alot of play in mine cause of my right inner and outer tie rods..the ball joints are worn out...so check it out
