Loose Fuse...

It has been quite some time since I have posted on this site...but I have come to need it's help once again!

Long story short, I have two fuses that fit so loose in the fuse panel by the driver side footwell that they fail to make contact.

It all happened because I used fuse adapters that slide over one of the fuse prongs so that you have a spade to plug something else into. Here is a pic of what I am talking about: http://www.camperpartsworld.com/thum...axx=0&maxy=150

The reason I used them is because I hardwired my radar detector to the acc fuse so that it would turn on and off with the car. The other one I tapped into was the parking lights because i added some footwell lights that came on with the parking lights.

I ran into a problem today when I decided to remove the footwell lights, and accordingly I removed the fuse adapter. I believe the problem is that the fuse adapter made the fuse prong 2 to 3 times the original thickness and now the fuse alone won't make contact.

Also, the reason I did this all tonight was cause I was hardwiring a homelink remote into my center console. I originally tried to run it off of a 12v 23A battery but it was to weak to give full range signals. If anyone is interested I can post some details and pics!?!

Does anyone know how easy it is to remove the fuse panel?
Can it be opened up so that I can bend the prongs back to original conditions?
Any other ideas?

I tried that but I can't get a screw driver behind the legs to bend them back in place.

wrap the prongs on the fuses in something conductive.

I thought about doing that but I was afraid a piece of it would end up staying behind if I pulled the fuse out. I could easily see it causing a short and there would be no fuse to blow and stop from burning the wire.

I was able to fix it by bending the prongs on the fuse in opposite directions and then squeezing it in there. It took a bit of time to get it in there but it not only makes good contact, it holds the fuse in there pretty well!
