A lil help please! Odd noise on wet road.

I have owned my 98 SH for a little over a year now and have had this problem since i bought it. An odd clomping or slapping noise from what seems to be the tires, every time im driving on wet roads. I assumed it was the tires from the begining, and when time came to replace them i thought the problem would go away. I can only describe the noise as sounding like a horse walking on pavement, weird i know but there no better way to put it. Any ideas? Thanks

I thought of that as a possibility then remembered it was with both the new and old set of tires. originally when i bought it the car had mastercraft tires with half tread. I now have dunlop direzza and the noise repeated itself not two days after the new set was installed but only on wet roads and sounds off from the front and rear. i,ve pretty much ruled out the tires after this happened.
