Have any of you SH owners changed out your flywheels when you changed your clutches? I'm planning on doing a lot of engine work in the next few months and I'm considering this. I've heard that ATTS doesn't like lightened flywheels very much and SH owners have had problems because of this. Is this rumor true? If it is, what can be done to overcome this problem?

I plan on doing the same. I think I'm going to go with an Exedy organic clutch with 36% more clamping power, and the Jun flywheel. I don't believe the atts measures anything in terms of fly weight, just steering sensor, throttle positioning sensor, and yaw.

In fact, for some reason, according to this place in Westminister called Inline 4, every customer that had an SH and changed their flywheels had problems with the ATTS light coming on. I think this really is an issue and before I invest money into this, I'd like to hear from anyone who has an SH with a lightened flywheel.
i have a clutch masters leightened flywheel. plan on installing it soon with my ACT clutch along with the turbo kit. if there would be a problm with the ATTS i probably wouldnt know if its from the flywheel or turbo.
I don't have an aftermarket flywheel, but I did have my factory flywheel shaved while I was having my clutch installed. Decided to go this route after hearing some horror stories about the really lightweight flywheels shattering. Haven't had any issues with the ATTS or the ATTS light so far.

For your ACT, are you going with a street disk, or a 6 puck?

you can always install one of them.. wait a month. And if the ATTS light isn't on, then you know that one isn't a problem. Then do it for the other one.
hehe do the flywheel first, and get back to us

I talked to inlinefour about a year ago and they said they don't work on Preludes, just civics and integras, then he gave me info to some other shop. Guess they aren't doing my flywheel and clutch install.

I wish I would have known that when I went down there about 2 months ago.. Man they really F*## ed up my car. They did 2 things to my car. The first was installing my V-AFC which they didn't do right, then I had them install cam gears which is where they really screwed up.... I had to leave my car with them for an extra day because they said they didn't have a part to remove my timing belt. Then, I call them the next day and they tell me that a bolt broke somewhere along my timing belt tensioner and the only way they could fix it was by removing the motor. Then they tried to tell me that it wasn't their fault so they had to charge me 850 for labor to R&R the engine. I was able to them out of charging me 850, but they still charged me 200 and denied responsibility. Ironically, when I was there the day before, some other guy came in cussing them out because a tranny that he bought from them was all fudged up. So a day goes by and I'm all the way back to my house in Eagle Rock. Next thing I know, my power steering pulley is scraping on my power steering pump and it's making a funny noise. Then I look under the hood of my car to find that my alternator is loose and the bolt is practically hanging off. So I call them back up this time I'm really pissed. And they tell me to drive down there and they'll fix it for me. So I drive down there thinking they're gonna give me a new pulley because mine is all scraped up now and they try to blame it on the person who installed the pulleys for me when they know they ****ed up! I was ready to kick someones ass at that point. All I got to say is inlinefour can kiss my ass!!
Wow I guess I really fell off topic....but if you have a lude, don't go there!!
