A leter from Honda

I received a letter from Honda dealership saying they are looking to buy preludes and records show that mine has less then 140k and wanted me to bring it in for pricing.
Has anyone else gotten a letter like this? and why would the want preludes, half of them have failing transmissions.

I don't know what that is all about but the few times I went to the dealership to visit my friends, people always say good things about Preludes.

Look at it this way, a mint Prelude is better than any other Honda they have on display. If I was an owner of a Honda dealership I would definitely buy Preludes in mint condition with 50k or less on them.

Yours is a bit high on the miles, so I don't really know why they weer interested.

P.S only 5th gen automatics are known to have failing transmissions. This does not apply to all the other gens. Just making sure you understand that.

It's a marketing scam, nothing more. They want to get you on the lot to sell you something.

Had a ford dealer try the exact same thing with my sister's escort years ago. The letter claimed something like a nationwide shortage of used escorts or some b.s. like that.
