1) If this setup will work on an '01 SH (I can't determine if they make different GR-2s for the SH VS Base)
KYB GR2 Shocks
Part Number
Right Front 341177
Left Front 341178
Right Rear 341179
Left Rear 341179
2) If the GR-2s are good, non-adustable shocks? Seems like everyone who has KYB has AGX, which from what I understand the only difference is the AGX is adustable; an option I don't forsee much use of. Is it just because everyone else wants the adjustability, or do the GR-2s have a bad rep that I don't know about? Let me know what ya'll think as I need to make the purchase soon.
As far as adjustability goes... it is beneficial because not everyone wants the same stiffness level in their shocks. With the GR-2, you get what is set from the factory. With AGX, for example, I may prefer to leave mine set at 2... you may like them stiffer at 3, and there may be others who want to adjust on the fly before auto-x or something. Just my thought.
KYB AGX would be a better shock for a little bit more money. But only if your only dropping the car 1.5" max. A "sport" drop. Your shocks will fail very shortly, as they are not designed for a massive drop. Especially if you dont have bump stops. Trust me on this, you will save allot of money and time doing it right the first time around.
If your planning on anything below that, I would highly suggest getting the Illumina's or a full coilover set-up. What do you plan on running for springs/coilovers?

I had GR-2's in the back and AGX up front in my old integra, I also had a 2.25 inch drop, they lasted about a year and a half before any noticeable failure. The AGX are better overall, you really get what you pay for when it comes to suspension, if it's worth doing it's worth doing right the first time.
I'm also thinking about the GR-2s. I was also looking into Tokico "blues" (non adjustables), but people have been telling me that the Tokico blues were pretty much a down grade :/
What kind of springs are you looking to use them with?
I had the AGX's installed with my GC's at one point and it was noticeably rougher/stiffer ride than with my OTS Konis. The adjustment on the AGX's did basically nothing, I couldn't tell still from soft, and some dyno plots I seen of the shocks confirmed that.
If you can figure out a way to save and get the Konis they are your best bet.
I have new GR-2's on right now. I kept my stocks til bout 130K miles. I'll say as far as ride comfort, they are about the same as stock, basically they are OEM replacements. I do wish i had opted for the KYB's, bc I wish I had a bit more stiffness. however, the GR-2's are great shocks, and i feel well worth the money. I bought mine, new off Ebay, and replaced the rear chock collars and all the rubber with Energy suspension polyurethane. Car rides, and handle quite well, not exactly on rails, but I'm on stock springs. If you're just looking for a good all-around OEM replacement shock, with a good reputation, than they are for you. If you like options, and prefer something a bit stiffer, opt for the AGX's. I wish I had.
