OEM is made of the same stuff the plastic body panels (e.g. rear bumper) is made out of. It's a form of injection molded plastic IIRC. Beats the snot out of fiberglass

Oh really? I didn't know that!
I always knew the OEM's material was better quality than any fiberglass, so I assumed it was urethane.
OEM kit is made out of a special type of plastic...it allows the shape to be nicely molded like fiberglass but has the tinsel strength of urethane...but unlike urethane it won't bend and will not warp under heat.
OEM kit is the best of both worlds. Second best is urethane and lastly fiberglass.
Have you guys ever paid attention to the OEM plastic parts. Don't be fooled. They are not painted. They are wrapped with a colored film. Hence they never got the silver to match.
