Hey i also have 99 Prelude and no remote with it. How did you check if you have the part insalled in order to buy a remote control? Thanks.

ALL 99-01 PRELUDES came with keyless entry so all you need is a remote transmitter

$50 seems steep for a single remote.

I already have another remote, bought it used on ebay and works great. even did the light mod to get the parking lights to flash...

Well used ones without a warranty on ebay go for $30-35 shipped. And the guy above that bought an ebay one got one for a different Honda model and it didn't work.
