So I just got in from swapping my S2000 wheel in favor of a Civic Si (03) wheel (not the airbag). It confirms my hutch that the steering wheel frame of a Civic Si and Acura RSX is identical as an S2000 wheel. Meaning that any of these wheels can be swapped in favor of the big Prelude wheel. The differences between the are;
- S2000/Insight: Perforated leather on the sides (matched my Prelude SE leather seats). Note: JDM wheel does not have cruise control.
- Civic Si: Leather wrapped with red stitching (matches my ITR shift boot). Black Honda emblem on airbag.
- RSX: Leather wrapped with black stitching.
- JDM Integra (DC5) - Leather wrapped, red stitching, leather is split on the bottom of the wheel. Airbag has a red Honda emblem. No cruise control.
But there were a couple of differences between the Civic Si and S2000 wheel. First of all, I didn't a place to connect the horn on the Civic Si wheel where the S2000 wheel has place to connect the ground and springs to activate it. So I opted to swap the horn plate in favor of the S2000 one and I swapped the control control units since mine was already set up to use the S2000 one. What's the difference? Well first of all, the Civic SI wheel has a cancelation button. Second, the plugs are different. If it wasn't dark outside, I would have tried to mess around to use the Civic Si one (wooo more buttons!

).
