just installed camber kit, now i have a minor problem...

sup guys, i just put in my spc camber kit for front and rear, but now when i drive around i hear this weird squeeky noise. i did a search and read that a few people had clearance issues, i wonder if this is whats making the noises? did this happen to anyone else who put in a spc camber kit? anyone have any ideas what my problem might be?

The sqeaky noise comes from the balljoint itself. Maybe your balljoint has lost all the grease packed in the boot. I know the cheap camber kits make noise, but the SPC kit shouldn't make a single sound. I've had mine over a year now without noise.

Find out where the noise is comming from, and lubricate the joint.

You do not say what gen car you have. If you have a 4th gen and the kits are the anchor bolt type-there can be noise because of the type of bushings used-were they lubed during the install. This is also true for the rear kits on a 5th gen. If you have kits with polyurethane bushings-the silicone grease is absolutely necessary and yet there can still be squeaking.
IF you have a 5th gen, the front kits can only be the balljoint type. These should not make any noise unless they have NO grease in them. I assume the parts are new-so this should not be the source. Make sure that all of the mounting points for the control arms are torqued to Honda spec.

thanks for the replies guys.

i have a 5th generation, and yeah the parts were brand new. i think the noise is coming mostly from the front, but i am not too sure. i dont know if the kit i have is the polyurethane brushings but its part numbers 67630 and 67660.

if i do need to apply grease, where do i apply it too exactly? can i just spray the balljoint with wd40 or do i have to remove the whole thing and apply the grease?

also, what are honda specs for the control arm mounting and everything?

I think you ment to write 67360 and 67330. In any event there is no way to grease these balljoints. I do not think that is the source of your noise. As to the correct Torque for the retaining hardware-it is in the Helm, but 31ft pounds (BASE) and 23(SH) should be fine for the upper arms. Another source of noise is the bushings for the sway bars. If poly-that is a given, if rubber take them off and you can try a little of your favorite (such as ArmorAll) after cleaning everything. Last thought (for today) is that one of the rubber donuts on the top of the springs is worn. The only way to deal with that is to take the spring/shock assembly out .
Hope this helps.
