I just installed my agx struts, and I'm on eibach pro-kit. Is it normal to have the back 1 finger gap and the front 3? Will the struts settle? Is it bad to have them on the 3rd setting from the beginning or is there a break-in for them also?
hm for some reason my SH has that front higher than the rear problem too. 2 finger gap difference is a little too much though I"m sure the front will settle some more for you. If not then make sure the front shocks are sitting all the way down on the fork.
I have the exact same setup. When I first installed them, the front was higher than the back. Give them time to settle, but the front will always be a little higher than the back. Its been about 6 months with them on, and I have a 2 finger gap in front and 1 finger gap in back. Its not really noticeable, but you can see it if look for it.
I've got the exact same set up. And have had my car for ~6 months. Same thing, two-three finger gaps in the front, and next to no gap in the back. As for the settings. I don't see why you can't crank them to 3 right away. I did
I think it maybe the struts. Cause I have skunk2 coilovers on AGX. I adjusted the coilovers from 2/3 down to all the way down, and it is still the same height. set on 3 in the front and 4 in the rear.
hrmm.. are those new agx's?? cuz mine adjust at the top with a screwdriver and only to a mx of 4. I really like the ride. Crank them to three and the car feels really stiff. But according to some people this set up is bouncier then let's say neuspeed's. But since I've got nothing to compare it to.....I can't say. I guess it's all relative like the sound of an exhaust.
They are bouncy. As for the way it looks......I don't really like it higher in the front esp. if I'm gonna put in subs. It's just gonna look even worse.
I have Eibach pro-kits with the APS Koni's on my SH. When I had them installed I had the same problem--ie high front. I had them mre-install the fronts with the lowest spring perch which was about 1/2" lower. That definately made a big difference. It still doesn't have the exact same gap, but I don't think it did stock anyway. But there was no way I could have lived with that constant-acceleration-weight-shift look. I'd rather be stock.
i knew that they were four ways, but they adjust at the top instead of clicking the knob on the side in the pics?
does this make it significantly more difficult to adjust?

most likely getting the BMW 8 series, already has 19s and then chipping it and getting shorter gears....oh yeah, and under warranty too...ETA is about 2 years though, buying it from a friend
The valve on the body of the strut is for different applications. My friends 200sx has the 8 point adj, but for the 5th gen preludes its a 4 way adj from the TOP of the strut. really easy to adj, they give you a small screwdriver, and its color-coded too...Only the rears, you gotta stretch a little to get to it, but other than that, no probs adjusting...
so, how do you guys like the agx?
Im considering a set to go w/h&r sports.
what setting do you guys leave it at & how does it compare to stock at that setting?
I have the same problem with my Eibach pro-kit. Is there anything I can do to get some inches down in the front. Is there a rubber stopper at the top I can take out or something.

It's awesome! It's worth every penny spent! I leave it on 4 in the rear and 3 up front. They're very stiff and handle corners like you wouldn't believe. I have them on skunk2's.

THanks
What shocks do you have?? I had my eibach's with stock shocks for a while and didn't have this problem. This problem(atleast the severity) is only caused by aftermarket shocks with the SH.
