Kaminari is definitely the best CF hood based on quality and worksmanship.

IMO however, both are overpriced. Just get a ViS Racing CF hood...same deal.

But once you have the hood on, when are you going to drop a tire on your car or have another car run over it? IMO as long as the carbon fiber doesn't flake or break or whatever carbon fiber does when it deteriorates is ok by me.

I must say though, the tests performed by Fiber Images are impressive.

lol do you work there or something.
FI is good but not the best.

CF is strong already, most would probably withstand the that test.

I've talked personally with the guys up at Fiber Images and they are cool as hell. They only put out about one prelude hood per week though (supply and demand i guess) compared to about 10 civic hoods. I have a Fiber Images hood on mine prelude and love it! They quality is straight up It does start to buffet at 70+mph. I guess its just the lightness of it and the lack of hoodpins. I must say im getting sick of explaing why my hood is black and not white (the color of the car). Everyone else who actually knows what carbon fiber is appriciates it. God I type too much

He doesn't, it's photoshopped.

I think the biggest clue was in the file name..."http://members.aol.com/accordvtek/rayphotochop.jpg"

The car is still hot though

I was reading on another forum I was browsing, they said since the carbon fiber hood is harder to bend or break like a stock hood in a accident ( shown in the fiberimages video) If the carbon strong fiber hood were to go thru the windshield, you could be decapitated! Sorry for the scary thought.

The windows pretty strong i know as i had a prelude with a major head on colision come in the bodyshop where i work at the glass was all shattered but not fallen apart, if it was a major hit i think it could come threw the windshield if it has hood pins but if it has the factory style latch i think it would hold up. The front of our cars is really low anyway so if it was like a truck or anything like that you would just end up going under it.
I still want one thoe LOL, can you paint them, id love to have one on my car but would not want to explain to everbody in the world that i did not get in a accendent and thats why my hood is black, LOL. Plus it would be nice to not have someone know what you have less chance of then stealing it.
