JUN Parts

Just curious any one on here running the JUN Setup. For the H22. The whole package that runs about 3 grand. I was told it makes 260 hp at the wheels

I heard it was a very impressive package. I was interested in the package but i figured I'd would want more power for that much money. Is it a stroker kit with a high compression? I forgot. Unless your installing it yourself be prepared to pay lots for installation... Must say it would be quite a sleeper setup tho...

I am using the Jun cams on my 5th now. But I don't think it can run 260 hp on wheel.

Is that just the cams or the whole kit I think the kit includes cam, cam gears, Valve train and ecu. That is the 260 hp package. Hwich is what I think I am talking about.

Well I'm assuming that JUN is referring to 260 flywheel hp, since 260 at the wheels would be damn near impossible without totally reworking the motor. And JUN's 260hp claim also includes full bolt ons, along with it's head package. I believe the head package itself is only supposed to generate 40 additional horsepower. I'd love to see the dyno plot of a fully tuned JUN H22 though, I think it would pull all the way to 8000rpm...

I was under the assumption it includes high compression pistons and rods as well. I can't remember if had a stroked crank too. How else does cams, cam gears, Valve train and ecu add up to 3 grand? And I'm pretty sure the JUN prelude (4th gen) did make 260whp

JUN camshafts- $1000
JUN cam gears-$400
JUN valvetrain (complete with valves, springs, retainers)- $800
JUN forged pistons- $500
JUN reprogrammed ECU- $300

Those are rough estimates based on other company's products, but it all adds up...

where can I find more details and info on the Jun package ? I'm interested since I haven't gone deep into the engine yet. I just have an intake for now.

Any info on the pricing and the parts included in the package ? Will it work on a 5th gen. base ?

I thought the prices were much higher....I remeber someone saying the ECU alone was over $1K.

Well like I said, that was just a rough estimate of prices. You can expect to pay an extra premium for the JUN name. I know the whole kit costs over $3K though, but there's no solid dyno plots to justify the cost...

i think 260 whp is pretty damn good for n/a but like most of you said, it's quite hard to believe those numbers w/o a dyno.
I would do it for $3,000. I would rather have a strong reliable n/a for that much money than a turbo. I checked on Jun's site and only saw products for bb1-bb4 preludes. I haven't seen anything for a bb6.

BB1-BB4 is just the chassie code. I am pretty sure that the engine is the same I talked tho the guy at JUN USA awhile back right before the kit was going to be realeased and he said it was for all h22's But then again I don't think JUN USA is still open. Correct me if I am wrong.

thats a terrible idea. NA is different from FI in so many aspects. You'd be wasting your money.

I don't know if I quite understand you, do you mean you want to buy all of JUN's naturally aspirated prelude products, minus the ecu, and then add some forced induction by the means of a turbo? And your womdering if that would be a good setup?

i agree, I think the cams would be a bad idea for forced induction
