JDM shifter on auto to manual swap?

I am doing a manual swap on my ss lude. My lude is a 98, I am using a rebuild f22 tranny and a shifter from a jdm lude. is there any problem with that??? What I mean is that Japanese people drive on the right side and 1st gear will be toward the right and up.

I hope this makes sense.

Are you saying that an F22 tranny will mate to a H22a4. Very interesing. And then you say the shift pattern is inverted. You are also aware that the shift linkages are not identical anyway? Have fun remembering where the gears are if this is correct.

yes...the F22 tranny bolts right on the H22. However, you do have to change the intermediate shaft.

I am not sure about the shift pattern. But the shifter's linkages looks the same as the USDM one. But the switch that moves the neutral linkage is on the driver side. Is it suppose to be on the passenger side? (I hope this makes sense)

the shifter, amazingly enough, is the same in RHD cars....1st gear is always to the left and up.......just a lil fyi

so if they decided to totally make it usdm, they'd have to put 1st gear where our 5th gear is
