JDM gauge cluster needles

I recently bought a JDM gauge cluster for my car, and I have a question. The JDM version has yellow needles, while the USDM has red. I really prefer the red. Is it possible to swap the needles without damaging either cluster? I suppose I could paint the needles, but I assume they are a bit transparent so they will light up at night. Any suggestions? Thanks

it is very difficult to remove the needles without messing them up. it possilbe and they will be slightly off afterward anyway. this might help that i posted to get you through removal...Write Up: L.E.D. Cluster - Preludepower.com goodluck but weigh the cost of ur cluster to how bad you really want red before you do this.

The Type S and SIR-S-Spec have the yellow needles. All other standard JDMs have the Red needles. Keep them yellow. They look way better.

aren't the needles and bezel/trim/whatever you wanna call it the only things different on the JDM cluster? why not just take the trim/bezel off and put it on a USDM and you're good to go.

Why buy a JDM cluster if you don't like the colour of the needles?

The whole point of buying a JDM cluster is to have the authentic JDM part.

Ah, I bought the JDM cluster cause I'm in Canada, and having both Kms and mph on the speedo looks way to busy.

dont remove the needles! the gauge clusters can not be calibrated so youll end up spending a grip to get a new set anyways. paint the needles and change the lights in the cluster
