I've noticed something about my VAFC-II

I noticed that the VTEC controller pretty much over-rides all of the required conditions for the stock ECU's VTEC engagement.

Temperature (VTEC will engage at any temperature)
Speed (VTEC will engage when revving in neutral)
RPM (of course)
Pressure (I noticed there is a control for this in the VAFC menu, but I'm not sure where to set it)

I also noticed that it makes fuel correction past 50% throttle. What throttle input does the stock ECU consider WOT?

Thanks guys.

Wouldn't WOT be 100% throttle? If not, I I believe I remember reading some threads on closed loop / open loop where open loop (basically WOT) was initiated at 35% throttle.

^^^34% and more is considered WOT by the Prelude's ECU. That is according to the seasoned members that frequent the N/A forum. There is a lot of good discussion about ECU tuning and VAFC settings in the N/A forum. I suggest you check them out.

Yes, the VAFC overrides all the safety features designed around VTEC. Stop VTEC'ing with the engine cold!!!

You set the throttle position in the VAFC. WOT is considered 34% or more OEM. When you set the throttle points, LO and under is the throttle position that it considers "low" in the maps and HI is what it considers WOT. Between those two it will interpolate between your setetpoints (HI and LO) IIRC.

Just an FYI, I do not go over 4000rpms until the engine is at operating temperature.

Well...the LED is supposed to change when you change cam profiles. Red for HiCam and Green for LowCam
